St
Mary’s Pre-school is a thriving group that caters for
young children in Princes Risborough and its surrounding villages.
We offer the children the opportunity to learn through play
in a stimulating and nurturing environment. St Mary’s
has been operating since 1956 and is run by a Voluntary Management
Committee.
We
pride ourselves on the quality of education that we deliver
and work hard to make sure that every child achieves to the
best of their ability. We have an extremely caring, experienced
and qualified staff team who nurture, stimulate and support
all children through a range of activities.

In
a recent OFSTED Inspection (October 2008) St. Mary's achieved 'Outstanding'
grades in the 4 main areas of judgement.
The following excerpts from the report indicate St. Mary's strengths
and give a feel of how the pre-school runs.
'All
children receive an extremely high standard of care and participate
in very stimulating and often exciting learning experiences, which
ensure that they make strong progress and are fully engaged in purposeful
play. The setting has a very strong ethos of inclusion and support
for children with individual needs.'
'All children are eager learners because the setting provides a
very well targeted and purposeful curriculum, within a secure, hygienic
and extremely well planned environment.'
The
setting was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from Buckinghamshire
County Council on the 15th October 2008
'in recognition of our outstanding contribution towards excellent,
high quality childcare services in Buckinghamshire.'
We
run 5 morning sessions putting into practice the principles of the
Early Years Foundation Stage. St Mary’s is an inclusive setting,
which promotes and values equality of opportunity for all our children
and families.
The
safety of children is paramount in this setting
