Welcome back, we hope you have all had a lovely Easter Holiday break! We would like to wish a warm welcome back to all our children at St Mary's, and we have loved to hear about their holidays and all the fun they've had.


This term we shall be looking at the following topics: Hospitals, Road Safety Week, Fathers Day, Art Week, Healthy Eating, The Hungry Caterpillar, Mini Beast, Olympics to name a few. These topics are fluid and we like to incorporate where the children's play & imagination takes us!

Pre-School Assistant

 


  • To work as part of our Pre-School team to provide  a safe, happy and inclusive environment in which all children can thrive.
  • To maintain our nurturing ethos where all children are treated as individuals, and learn, thrive, develop and achieve their potential.
  • To provide high quality education and care for young children (2-5yrs) and ensure their needs are met within the setting, under the direction of the Pre-School Manager/Deputy.
  • To be responsible for observations, record keeping and further planning relating to the progress and development of key child(ren).
  • Fixed Term Contract (5 days/week)

  • To actively lead, support and develop our pre-school team to provide a safe, nurturing, happy inclusive environment with high quality education and care for young children.
  • To maintain our nurturing ethos where all children are treated as individuals, and learn, thrive, develop and achieve their potential.
  • To be responsible for the efficient day to day running of the pre-school.
  • To manage, supervise and support our pre-school staff.
  • To fulfil the legal and statutory framework, ensuring Ofsted requirements are met.
  • To work in partnership with the Management Committee of the pre-school.
  • To build strong and supportive working relationships with parents and external agencies.
  • To identify opportunities to further develop the pre-school
